Why my drive is slow
First, check to make sure write cache is enabled. On Centos, you type
hdparm -I /dev/sda
Then to enable it, you type
hdparm -W1 /dev/sda

This is tested on Xenserver 6, may also work on other similar OS 1. ssh to server as root 2....
